Cough, everyone’s monsoon annoying friend

As the monsoon commences most of them commonly face cold and cough. Every time dust or allergens enter your lungs, throat or airways your body tries to expel the irritants by coughing. While a dry cough may be a natural reflex designed by Mother Nature to protect you, but constant coughing can be bothersome as well. On the other side a productive (‘wet’ or chesty) cough is a cough that produces mucus or phlegm.

Tulsi

Tulsi is considered as mucolytic and an antibiotic. Promotes the removal of catarrhal matter and phlegm. Can also be used as a herbal medicine in numerous ailments, including fever, common cold, coughs, sore throat, respiratory disorder, kidney stone, heart problem.

Banafsha

Banafsha is used to heal respiratory tract conditions, particularly dry or sore throat, stuffy nose, coughs, hoarseness, and bronchitis.

Vasaka

Vasaka acts as a Bronchodilator and helps in healing respiratory ailments. The entire plant can be used for treating cold, cough, whooping-cough, chronic bronchitis and asthma. Also, normalizes the cough and improves the voice.

Pippali

Pippali is commonly used to treat a wide range of disorders from cough, cold, congestion to digestive issues.It is also considered as lungs detoxifier that helps in improving breathing.

Yashtimadhu

Draksha

Yamani (Ajwain)

Ajwain with its germicide and antiseptic properties turn out to be a boon for patients suffering from cough and cold.

 


Sonth
